Former cricketer passes away
Online Staff/GUWAHATI, May 11: Former Ranji cricketer of Assam Dr Ananda Chandra Sarma passed away at his Tezpur residence on Saturday. He was 90 years old. Sarma was an opening batsman and represented Assam in the Ranji trophy against Orissa during 1955-56 season. He was also a district football player and represented Tezpur Town Club in the Bordoloi Trophy. Assam Cricket Association condoled the death of Sarma.
