Bopanna-Dabrowski win French Open title

GUWAHATI, June 8: Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna paired with his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski lifted mixed doubles title in the French Open on Thursday. The pair defeated unseeded pair of Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany and Robert Farah of Colombia in a well contested battle which lasted for 56 minutes. Bopanna and Gabriela won the tie 2-6, 6-2, 12-10. With this victory Bopanna became the fourth Indian players to win a Grand Slam title. Earlier Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza achieved the feat.
