AFA to introduce Women Soccer League
Online Staff/GUWAHATI, Feb 15: Assam Football Association is rescheduled the date of Assam Premier League Soccer Championship. The prestigious club soccer meet of the state will now be held in May. Releasing the news to the media the secretary of the Assam Football Association Ankur Dutta said, “We have decided to start the meet in May. This time eight teams will take part in the championship. “
Meanwhile the next edition of the Club Championship soccer will kick off in the third week of February at Parbatjhora near Kokrajhar. 12 teams will be seen in action in the meet.
Dutta also added that Assam Football Association will introduce one club level competition for the women Soccer players in the state. The meet will be held at Mariani next month.
